He successively served as a staff member and principal staff member of the Hydropower Division of the Planning Department of the Ministry of Water Resources and Electric Power, deputy director of the Planning Division and deputy director of the Hydropower Division of the Comprehensive Planning Department of the Ministry of Energy, director of the Hydropower Division of the Planning Department of the Ministry of Electric Power Industry, assistant to general manager and director of the Planning and Operation Department of State Grid Construction Co., Ltd., deputy director of the Planning Department of the Ministry of Electric Power Industry and deputy director of the Planning and Investment Department of State Power Corporation, deputy director of the Planning and Investment Department of State Power Corporation, president and deputy secretary of the Leading Party Group of China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute, director of the Comprehensive Planning, Investment and Financing Department of State Power Corporation, a member of the Preparatory Group of China Huadian Corporation Ltd., deputy general manager and a member of the Leading Party Group of China Huadian Corporation Ltd., a director, general manager and a member of the Leading Party Group of China Huadian Corporation Ltd., and a director, general manager and deputy secretary of the Leading Party Group of China Huadian Corporation Ltd. In January 2021, he was appointed by the State Council's SASAC as an external director of China National Building Materials Group Co., Ltd. 

He successively served as deputy director of the Price Division, deputy director of the Industrial Development Division, director of the Office, director of the General Division and deputy director of the Development Planning Department of the Ministry of Railways; deputy director of the Planning and Statistics Department of China Railway Corporation; secretary of the Party Committee of China Railway Construction Investment Corporation; director of the Material Management Department of China Railway Corporation; director of the Material Management Department of China State Railway Group Co., Ltd.; and an external director of China Railway Beijing Group Co., Ltd. In August 2023, he was appointed by the State Council's SASAC as an external director of China National Building Materials Group Co., Ltd. 

He successively as deputy director of the 201st Institute of China North Industries Group Corporation Limited, director of the Standardization Institute of China North Industries Group Corporation Limited, director of the Party and Mass Work Department and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of China North Industries Group Corporation Limited, vice chairman, secretary of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of North Industries Group Finance Co., Ltd., director of the Human Resources Department of China North Industries Group Corporation Limited, executive vice president of China North Talent Ability Development and Research Institution, and assistant to general manager of China North Industries Group Corporation Limited. In August 2023, he was appointed by the State Council's SASAC as an external director of China National Building Materials Group Co., Ltd.
